Apparently, 23rd avenue is one of the nicer places around, at least according to the Project for Public Spaces.
The 20 Best Neighborhoods in North America ^[1]

Of course, it’s no coincidence that it also happens to follow the tenets laid out for urban villages in the City Comfort Blog ^[2].
