In regards to Ellen, or anyone else that might think this way, I am a certified trainer for the Melting Pot restaurants and i personnally opened the Portland,OR store. Not only is the area and the store inself beautiful, how ever you found out the prices is grossly wrong. They do have a four course feature that is $84, and that includes cheeses for two, salads for two, entrees for two(including Lobster) and dessert for two. That is the most expensive thing on the menu, and i think well worth it, What Ellen might be refering to is a wine pairing flight that can be ADDED to that for an additional $36 dollars, to bring it $120. Now thats the four courses and four glasses of wine EACH! I don’t think you can bet that at any other nice restaurant. And I eat at a lot lot of them well in your beautiful city. So I say, give it a try and realize you can walk out also having spent $40, it is up to you.

i just got off the phone with the melting pot in downtown portland, how sad that the price has doubled since they moved from the barbur blvd location! we won’t be patronizing them any longer. $130 for dinner for 2?! too much for us!!

Help!!! i was given a name of a Fondue resteraunt and have promptly forgotten…any suggestions??? i think it may have been “The melting Pot” I want to take my family there for chrsitmas eve…
