In regards to Ellen, or anyone else that might think this way, I am a certified trainer for the Melting Pot restaurants and i personnally opened the Portland,OR store. Not only is the area and the store inself beautiful, how ever you found out the prices is grossly wrong. They do have a four course feature that is $84, and that includes cheeses for two, salads for two, entrees for two(including Lobster) and dessert for two. That is the most expensive thing on the menu, and i think well worth it, What Ellen might be refering to is a wine pairing flight that can be ADDED to that for an additional $36 dollars, to bring it $120. Now thats the four courses and four glasses of wine EACH! I don't think you can bet that at any other nice restaurant. And I eat at a lot lot of them well in your beautiful city. So I say, give it a try and realize you can walk out also having spent $40, it is up to you.

The Melting Pot is not difficult to find. Downtown on the corner of 6th and Main. Also, visit meltingpot.com, or call them at †(503)517-8960 or go right to their "included with the franchise fee" website: http://198.77.224.61/Portlandor@franconnect.com/home.html
