Portland Tribune Story on Black Spot

The Tribune has a good story on the current state of the Adbusters Black Spot sneaker, a product brought to market just to give Phil Knight ìa kick in the ass.î

I like Adbusters a little bit, but they seem a bit like a one-trick pony. I sort of chuckled when I saw that $7.50 of the cost of every pair goes into billboards, print and TV ads. Also, a sign of our post-modern times: Adbusters set up their billboard ad for their anti-nike shoes outside Nike headquarters.
