Earthquake in LA

…and our blogging.la cohorts are all over it, posting away.

Meanwhile, when we had a tsunami alert? Us PDX MetBloggers were snoozing away…what’s our disaster plan anyway, PDX-ers? Are we the type to blog during (or immediately after) an earthquake?

Well if it had been more of an actual happening I think we would have cared. I think only one channel (but maybe two) had local coverage, they sure didn’t interrupt channel 8 for it, which is odd considering their penchant for all that weather storm team watch stuff. When the tsunami alert stays an alert for more than half an hour I will then post. You have my solemn vow. :)

You may sleep. Me, I covered the tsunami scare. And it was an “actual happening” at the time, and the warning did past for quite some time.

(The initial cancellation of the warning three minutes after it was given came from a part of NOAA that doesn’t actually have any responsibility for the west coast of the US).
