Free Produce in Pioneer Square Friday @ Noon
Per the boregonian, The Mayor’s Tailgate party will be giving away free produce today in Pioneer Square.

As tempting as it is to drink that sixth cup of coffee for lunch, today try actually leaving the office. It will probably be bright. This condition, which occurs on weekdays while you are at work, is called “daylight.” Do not panic. If you limit your exposure, it can’t hurt you. Walk directly to Pioneer Courthouse Square for the Mayor’s Tailgate Party. There’s no beer. Or brats. So it’s kind of a misleading name. But there will be that other mainstay of tailgate parties: produce. Free produce! Yep. This fruity bacchanalia is intended to promote agricultural products from Eastern Oregon. Might want to bring a disposable moist towelette.
Noon to 1 p.m. Friday, Pioneer Courthouse Square, 701 S.W. Sixth Ave.; free

Damn. I was downtown this morning, but came back home before I saw this news (I’d have stuck around for a bit for free produce!)
How was it? What did you get?
