with the opening of NFL preseason in Japan on Saturday and the first Monday Night Football tonight, the electricity is in the air for the 2005-06 football season. while i’m a fan of NFL, i am also a fan of local college teams. it is always exciting to see local teams make a run for national recognition. one team in particular is close to my sport’s soul. Linfield! having been at Linfield during an amazing 4 years of football in the 90’s, i am excited they are back on top. they’ve always been on top, but now they are the top of the top.

i look forward to sunday afternoons when i can get together with my buddy and just hang out and chat and watch some football. i’m rooting for the steelers again this year, falling back on some memories from childhood and the 70’s.
