What Tad said… Plus the Tribune is in a position where they’d probably accept cash from Wiccans, peace activists or any other group the Religious Right finds objectionable.

The Tribune is seen as more conservative than the Oregonian, so I imagine its readers are seen as more religious.

Also, I imagine the religious advertisers can afford the Tribune easier. They’d probably be in the Mercury and Willamette Week if there was any chance in hell (pun intended) that those had a significant religious readership.

Most likely, I’d say they’re just hungry for ad dollars and they’d take something from the Buddhists if the price was right.
