I’m full

today, i began our food fixins around 10am. it all began with coffee. everything needs to begin with coffee on the holidays. this is our second year we decided to ditch the family and do thanksgiving on our own. once the coffee was started, i pulled out the packaged TOFURKY dinner. yes, TOFURKY! we got this dinner last year and enjoyed it soo much we had to do it again. Tofurky, made by Oregon-based Turtle Island Foods, is a vegetarian alternative to the traditional turkey dinner. Our meal came with a Tofurky loaf with vegitarian stuffing inside, vegetarian dumplings, gravy, and a wishbone made of vegie jerky. we complimented the meal with steamed brussel sprouts, garlic mash potatoes, and rosemary walnut bread (from new seasons). it was truly a wonderful dining experience and we have leftovers. next year, if you want to add something new to your traditional day, try the Tofurky meal. it’s only $15 and everyone knows a vegetarian.
