I was mad too. At first when I saw the comics today I thought, "Cool! I don't have to rip off that annoying extra flap of adds!"
Then I turned the comics over, because I always read them back to front and I about pissed myself.

I actually howled this morning at the sight of a full page ad in the comics section. It's bad enough you have to paw through an inch of circulars to find the comics, it's bad enough you have to tear away a half page of ads to get to the front page, but this?

And to facilitate the ads by making the existing comics even smaller? This is not just wrongheaded, but actually a bit of a tragedy.

As it is now, the Living Section and the comics are just about the only parts of the paper I still read. If the Oregonian wants to show the comics even less respect, I can switch to reading every single strip online, for free. They will even be about the same size.
