My scorecard: Portland Monthly’s 50 Things A Portlander Must Do

The article is in the March issue. Not posted online, tho.

OK, let’s run through some of the more interesting entries, and see how close I have come to doing them:

Paddle To Ross Island- No, but have driven over it on the Ross Island Bridge, and have hiked the Springwater Trail to a point where you could almost touch it.

Take a dip in the Keller Fountain (Third Ave ‘twixt Clay and Market)- No, but does picking up a contact splash from the Salmon Street Fountain count?

Shoot the Deschutes- walked on a footbridge over the Deschutes at the Riverhouse in Bend.

Sternwheeler Columbia Gorge- CHECK.

Gone nude beach-ing at Sauvie- No, but a few years ago on a boring summer weekday I drove by and peeked. Couldn’t see nothin’

Visit the Widmer Gashaus- Not in person, but my lips have tasted their products.

Attend the Oregon Brewer’s Fest- CHECK.

Hit every microbrewery in PDX- And how am I supposed to get around after the third brewpub?

Go to a block party- No but have been to some parties at the high-end apt complex B4 they went condo.

Go blueberry picking on Sauvie- Picnicked on Sauvie, but didn’t go picking on Sauvie. (Well, maybe my nose).

Riding the Canby Ferry- CHECK.

Ride the MAX line pretty much every place it goes- CHECK.

“Bring Home a Piece Of PAM (Portland Art Museum souvenirs). No, not that PAM. :-)

OK, I have done 4 out of 50.

Have you done more?
