well, another venerable oregon business has been sold off out of state. a california company - catalogs inc - has purchased Norm Thompson and it’s three catalog businesses. Norm Thompson has been having a few difficult years, eventually closing it’s flagship store in NW. They did have three catalogs that seemed profitable, but obviously not enough to keep them afloat. I remember as a kid how Norm Thompson was synonomous with Nordstrom or Fredrich and Nelson. now it’s just a catalog. farewell Norm. godspeed.
