Breaking Down the FlackTalk

    Paragraph by paragraph:

  1. I Still in the race. Still running. [actually, just spinning in place--ed]
  2. Somehow, it’s Erik Sten’s fault for leaving holes in the VOEP [this is suddenly Sten's fault? huh?--ed].
  3. I’ve been betrayed, like a guy from the Bible.
I plan on kissing more babies, despite this bungling. Even a tragic betrayal like this cannot slake my thirst for doing good things

  4. Fired the guy responsible. It’s not my fault for hiring him in the first place. [didn't you 'Nam era kids have a chant for this that rhymed with 'duck'?--ed]
  5. PRAY! PRAY! Pray for redemption and divine ballot manipulation!
    Irritants (in no particular order):

  • A bad case of PTB (pass the buck) syndrome. Ms. Boyle ran a tiny campaign. It’s hard not to see a hire like that as incompetent managing. Or even intentional fraud.
  • Emilie claims that this is all Sten’s fault for leaving traps in the process to discourage citizen participation. Well, I recognize that it wasn’t necessarily the best-written law out there, but it’s hardly Sten’s fault that Boyle hired a con-man to gather signatures.
  • GOD GOD GOD.

Emilie Boyles: “It’s not my fault.”

She totally lost me at the ‘John 1.5…’ reference.
