Mark it on your calendars

Next Tuesday, April 25th, is free cone day at Ben & Jerry’s from noon to 8 pm.

We’ve got three locations participating: downtown, NW and the SE Hawthorne location.

Think ice cream cones are just a kid thing? They’ve got a new flavor - Lemonade Sorbet - that I’m betting would make a nice adult smoothie when mixed with some New Deal vodka. I might just need to grab a free cone to do a preliminary taste test, don’t you think?

Want to plan ahead? Check out the scoop shop list of flavors. (My second choice after Lemonade Sorbet has to be the Dublin Mudslide.)

I was elated to find that B&J had created Black and Tan ice cream, made with real stout. Then I became depressed to find it is not available in Oregon.

Is *too* available in Oregon - I’ve bought it at Plaid Pantry and Fred Meyer.

I still prefer Dublin Mudslide, though…

Every time I get an ice cream cone there, it leans too far to the left… ;)
