Seriously? You’re STILL on the internets? When you could be outside? Come on! (Oh yeah, maybe you are outside AND on the internets. Sorry.)

Well since you aren’t leaving, I guess I’ll tell you what the authors are up to when the weather doesn’t suck, and what the best thing is to do with a Friday.

Photo phiend dieselboi peeked over the top of his cameraphone to say:
On Fridays, getting donuts for the team I work with or Begnet’s downtown @ Island joes. Also, having a good lunch out at a nice restaurant seems to be a common activity. Not to mention happy hour cocktails after work.

Benkay stole a moment away from his shiny new intern duties to proclaim:
Walk up and down Hawthorne! Nice weather always brings out pretty, well dressed people. (The BLF sez: To this I must add the caveat that spandex is a privilege, not a right.)

Aaron emailed from the foreign lands of Oregon’s Canada (that means the Couv, kiddies) and told me:
Sunny weather = photography. Landscapes, railroading, architecture, bridges. (Wanna see his work?)

(Betsy, Jonpaul, Alex and your humble correspondent weigh in after the jump…you know you want to see….!)

Miz Betsy paused in her crusade to save the schools and said:
Once the sun is out, I love to spend the evening after work hanging out on my front porch in an easy chair with the rest of the newspaper and blessed silence.

After work on a Friday? If I’m kid-free (happens twice a month); I’m heading out for after-work drinks with friends. If not kid-free, I’m heading home to collapse in front of the television and one of the Netflixed movies I’ve been saving up. Either way, there’s a tall frosty glass of something involved.
(My guess is something with some proof, especially if it’s warm.)

Jonpaul had this to say:
On Fridays I like to walk over Madrona Hill cafe early in the moring, say around 11:30 or 12:00, and get some coffee. I also Love, Love, Love Illustration Fridays.

Alex paused his podcast to tell me this:
Faves for a Friday — Wait until the sun has ebbed, go for a bike ride to a local restaurant. Ride home in the dark, preferably along the river or down a friendly hill in my fave part of town, southeast pdx.

And yours truly? I love nothing more when the weather turns nice than to take a notebook out on my deck and write things longhand-it doesn’t matter what. To-Do lists, blog posts, story ideas, I just think the sun helps me think differently and there is something inherently satisfying about putting pen to paper. Especially if it’s a Fisher Space Pen. With a fine point tip so I don’t get goobers on my hand (lefties represent!). What do I do with a Friday? Same as above, but with a cocktail of some kind. awwww yeah.

So there you go. That’s what we like to do. What are your ideas?
