We have a member of our community that needs some help. Portland is wonderful about helping out its own and this is a great cause. A friend of a friend, Laura K Newman, took a nasty fall down some stairs a few weeks ago, suffering a major head injury. You may know Laura as LKN from the local music scene. Laura needs your help and her close friend Jason DuMars has setup a donation site and benefit concert. The concert will be held on Friday at the Modish building downtown. There are no tickets available for sale, only donations will get you in the door. Its a sliding scale with suggested donation of $10-20.
The line-up includes Dantronix, We Quit, emBROWNLowe & Swallows and the headliner Scout Niblet. There will be food and drinks and I understand the Modish is Portland’s best kept secret.
