Book Signing at Bridge City Comics
I took my copy of “Does This Cape Make Me Look Fat?” over to Bridge City Comics today and had it signed by Marc, Chelsea and Lia. I regret not introducing myself to Lia but I got all shy. I’ve known Chelsea for a while, I’ve won and lost (mostly lost) more than a few dollars playing poker with her, I consider her a friend but at times I still feel like a dork around her because she’s a published writer who’s work I really enjoy. (Hero Worship.)
When Chelsea signed my book she wrote, “Radiation poisoning looks good on you.” I hope she was talking about my tan? Chelsea was also kind enough to give my girlfriend a signed copy of one of her other books “Confessions of a Teen Sleuth.” Free books are cool. Free books signed and given to you by the author are Super, Hawesome!
I poked around the comic shop for a while and there seemed to be a decent stream of people stopping by to get a copy of the book signed. I even saw some local celebrities drop in. I saw Marc Acito another great writer that lives in town, one of the Rose City Rollers was there. At least that’s what I think I over heard. And one of those guys from Live Wire Radio was there lurking about.
Marc, Chelsea and Lia all looked like they were having a great time, I hope they did and I hope their book is a big success, it couldn’t happen to nicer people.
