The Mississippi Ave street fair is here baby! It seems like a short time ago when we walked down Mississippi on a rainy May afternoon with our dogs and little was open other than Gravy, Equinox and Mississippi Pizza. Now, in 2006, I can’t even list the restaurants, bars and retail outlets that have sprouted on the street. The street fair will showcase even more new ventures on the street including a social club and a clothing store named Gypsy Chic. It’s exciting to see the changes that have happened over the past 10 years on the street. I’m looking forward to the future. I’m gonna make sure I have my camera charged to take photos of the NOW in order to have perspective of the future.

Aslo, there will be a couple of locations for live music all day, a RIB-OFF down by the rebuilding center, many local vendors selling hand crafted items and that wonderful adventure that is the neighborhood. We’ll be there will bells on. Hope to see you!
