Yesterday afternoon around 4:45 p.m. I was on line (as opposed to online) at Trader Joe’s Northwest store on Glisan just west of NW 21st Avenue.

That had to have been Portland rocker Art Alexakis in the wine row. He, or some uncanny similar doppelganger, was carefully examining one of the store’s nice reds, reading the label for about two minutes. Not sure which red, but certainly not one of the cheapies. No Three Buck Chuck for the former leader of Everclear.

Art lives in the neighborhood, so I would imagine that sightings such as these are not unusual.
