A busy weekend - some suggestions - UPDATED

The last weekend in July won’t disappoint Portland. Check out some of the activities going on:

Carifest Caribbean Festival 2006: PSU South Park Blocks, Saturday July 29th, 12-6pm. Reggae, Latin, Jazz and Calypso Music. Parade, authentic Caribbean Food. Featuring Delroy “Katt” Burton. FREE.

PDX Pop Now!: July 28-30, Loveland, 320 SE 2nd. 40+ Portland bands. All ages. FREE.

Oregon Brewer’s Festival: Downtown Waterfront Park. All beer all weekend.

Mondo Croquet: Sunday, North Park blocks. Bring a sledge and a bowling ball and dress yourself up kids.

Midsummer’s Night Lone Fir Tour: Lone Fir Cemetery, 2115 SE Morrison st. 5pm $5. (775 6278). Local actors, meida personalities and elected officials unearth some of Lone Fir’s historical corpses. Dessert and drinks provided. (thanks BIX for the reminder.)

Washington County Fair: Hillsboro, July 27-30, Food, animals, carnival - what more could you want? And the kids get to pet livestock no less.

Washougal Motocross event: I think maybe the largest in the region. More Info

And finally, Miami Vice is opening this weekend. I know I’ll be seeing it, how bout you? What else is happening?

    This weekend is the Washougal Motocross Event. I don’t know much about it other than it usually draws over 20,000 people…
