Sleepless in Portland

We aren’t getting any cooler here in Portland. Forbes recently announced their top 50 list for cities to be single in with Portland dropping 7 spots to #26 this year. The article suggests that the ratio of hipsters to other Portlanders is really high and that women say these hipster men are “shy” and “too cool for school”.. Keep up the good work Forbes.. Maybe by this time next year all the “hipsters” will have jumped ship for Austin or something.

You can view the full list here.

Erm. Am I supposed to take seriously any article which says this: “Pickup Spot: Bueller Land, which is in Southeast.”

Bueller Land? I assume they mean Beulahland, in which case where do we rank Forbes on the list of magazines without fact-checking?

Also, they say Portland is #26 on its own page, but it’s #27 on the list.

And, actually, Beulahland isn’t in Southeast anyway. It’s in Northeast.

haha.. yes. I was wondering what they were talking about with the whole bueller thing. the page is pretty poorly written but i am still slightly amused by the whole article. i like the hipster comments the most.

LoL, I wouldnt say Beuhlaland is a Pickup Spot at all. If it is then I am surprised. It seems there are 100 better places in Portland. Am I wrong? If Beuhlaland is how they rank our city then they don’t know anything about us.
