Potter to peanut gallery: siddown and shuddup!

I got a huge kick out of today’s story in The O detailing - in an oh-so-genteel way - Marshal Potter’s attempts to rein in some of our more, uh, prolific public commenters - people who show up faithfully from week to week to trot out theiir own personal agendas during the fifteen minutes allotted for public testimony before city council meetings.

While I think the attempt is probably well-justified, I couldn’t help but chuckle at the fact that it’s coming from our own Vision King, Champion of Public Process. All that nattering and seemingly endless ruminating starting to get to you, Mr. Mayor…?

Not to mention that refusing to allow someone to pull items from the consent agenda appears to be a direct violation of City Code.
