The War on Poop

While I was reading the paper this morning, I glanced out the window and just happened to see a guy trot by in a little buggy being pulled by a miniature horse. My first thought was, “Wow! That’s so cool!” Then I noticed he didn’t have a shovel or any kind of bag and I got a little miffed. Who the Hell is going to scoop his poop?

Of course my miffedness may have something to do with the constant battle I’ve had this summer trying to keep the jerk-faced dog owners from leaving their dog’s poop in my yard. (Before all the ranting starts, I’m not calling all dog owners jerk-faced; just the ones that don’t scoop.) What the Hell makes you selfish, irresponsible people think that is OK?

If it’s your pet it’s, your poop and that goes double for miniature horse owners!

I have the same problem with horse poop on Springwater Trail. People ride their horses on the trail and don’t take care of the mess, and the trail is supposed to be a nice place to walk or ride your bike. I guess the scooping laws don’t apply? Hmmm.

I take my dog for a walk every night about 8 PM…she LOVES to poop on Jack Bog’s lawn (or on the sidewalk right in front of his house) on Klickitat St. in NE Portland.

It’s my way of fighting back for his inflammatory liberal blog posts. Serves the Sam the Tram & Sten (Opie) lover right..
