Portland - Dogtown USA!

Portland has been named Dogtown USA by Dog Fancy magazine. The celebration kicks off today in Pioneer Square with a “Canine Block Party” co-sponsored by the Oregon Humane Society. I have always known Portland was dog friendly, so this isn’t a surprise. I am glad to know the word is getting out though to the rest of the world. Dog Fancy things we’re awesome:

“We chose Portland for its unmatched geography, trend-setting attitude, and general canine-centric perfection,” said Dog Fancy. The magazine took particular note of Portland’s 5,000 acre Forest Park and 33 public off-leash park areas that help make the city “one giant dog paradise.”

Come on down to Pioneer Square today with or without your dog for some great fun. If you don’t have a dog, come on down and check out those up for adoption by the Oregon Humane Society.
