Candidates Gone Wild

Are you going tonight?

I am, but not so much for the politics. I love voting on issues, but voting for politicians is like deciding whom you would most like to blow smoke up your ass. (I’m sure I’ll catch hell for that last sentence. Knock yourself out Oswego.)

I’m only going because I helped with some voice dubbing on the silly films they’ll be showing, that are supposed to help explain some of the different ballot measures. A goofy little gig I just happened to get because of my Live Wire connection. That connection also scored me some free tickets for the show tonight.

It should be a fun night though. Storm Large and Trashcan Joe will be performing. I met both of these bands when they sang on Live Wire.

What the Hell is going on? What is the strange connection between Live Wire and local politics? I suppose you could find out by going to Candidates Gone Wild or better yet, podcast a Live Wire show, or even better still, go see the next taping of Live Wire on November 16.

Anyhow, tickets for Candidates Gone Wild are cheap and you should go if you’re able. Who knows, it might help you decide which smoke feels the best going up your ass.

Someone near a ticket source buy me one and beat me up if I don’t pay them back for it. Cheap I can handle, but inaccessible-during-work-hours ticket locations is problematic.

Sorry, this is the only free weekday night I have this week – every other evening is booked with matters political; my young kids can’t eat Chef Boyardee *five* nights in a row…!
