ORBlogs strikes again!
Miz Betsy has already professed her love for ORBlogs, and she’s not alone in her adulation.
I was prowling the front page making sure nothing had happened in Portland’s little corner of Blogistan that I missed out on when I noticed a link titled Jenn Air & Maytag Electric/Dual Fuel Slide-in Range Repair Manual on The Appliance Blog from Springfield.
I wondered what would make a repair manual worthy of a blog entry, so I clicked through and discovered the “Find Parts” link. I’ve been around the net a few times already, trying to find out what I can about replacing the lint trap on my washer/dryer combo unit, for it is in a sorry, sorry state. I tried Whirlpool’s site, other sites, googling around, calling customer service for Sears, for Whirlpool…denied at every turn. Hoping against hope, I went to the dryer and got my model number and typed it in.
Voila! There in front of me, a veritable cornucopia of replacement parts for my washer/dryer! Sears couldn’t help me, Whirlpool themselves couldn’t help me, but a random Springfield blogger TOTALLY hooked me up, thanks to ORBlogs and my itchy clicker finger.
Nobody is more confused than I am about my excitement over a lint trap, I assure you; I mean honestly, a lint trap? Really? Really. This must be another one of those ‘grownup’ things sneaking up on me. Now I’ll have to go order some Legos or something to make up for it.
