A Family of Disconnected Sexual Reality

Last night I saw an article float across my newsreader about someone in the Couve being arrested for setting up a meeting with a “13 year old girl” he met online for sexual purposes. The “girl” was a FBI agent involved in a sting, and he got caught. Bad news, but nothing too shocking.

Today, his mother is defending him. According to his mom, he’s met girls in the past, and “every girl he’s met, I’ve met. And, yes, they are of age.” I guess that string is broken. She goes on to say “He’s not an alcoholic, he’s not a drinker, he doesn’t do drugs. He’s a clean cut kid.”

Right. He’s totally clean… well, except for the fact that he’s 24 and likes 13 year old girls. Let’s hope that “the system” can get Mr. Juhl some help, and while they’re at it… perhaps his mom needs a dose of reality as well.

I find it impossible to believe that a 24 year old guy makes it a point to introduce his mother to every girl he meets. And I find it just as impossible to believe that any 24 year old guy would accede to that kind of demand from his mother - even if he does live at home (which the article doesn’t specify, but kind of implies.)

Instead, I think it’s highly likely that his mom has a really inflated view of just how involved she is in her son’s life. And if not? Well, that’s just *creepy* to think that a 24 year old needs to get approval from ‘Mommy’…

Does he live in her basement or something? How does she know what he does 24/7? Implanted RFID?

Jeez, must be nice in her little delusional world.
