Attention East County!

It looks like House Speaker Karen Minnis is having a bit of of trouble involving a guy, a girl, and a pizza place. Oh yeah, and some sexual abuse.

Will East County finally learn? I hope this is the straw, since Karen’s current shenanigans are just the latest in a string of stunts that should have East County finally realizing it’s time for a change? I’m not saying that Brading is a saint, but at this point it seems like he should just have to run an ad that is 20 seconds of headlines about Karen Minnis and at the end go “I’m Rob Brading. I couldn’t be worse, and I approve this message.”

Sigh. Somewhere… someplace… it would be really cool if a Democrat came up with some sort of platform or strategy that consisted of more than “I’m not a Republican.”

People in East County tend to disagree with Democratic views and so Brading will never take this election despite anything Minnis would ever do.

Your loaded statement with political undertones about who you want to win out here just goes to show why it will never happen. Aaron is right, running on the platform of I’m not a republican really does nothing without some substance.

I said that all he should have to do is run an ad that says he’s not Karen Minnis in order to win. I didn’t say it would work or that it was a valid strategy. I wish it would, but I know better.

As soon as someone tells me about HALF as many underhanded and shady things that Brading has done, then I will stop rooting for him.

Aaron: It would be even cooler if a Democrat had a platform or strategy AT ALL. (:

I agree that running on an actual platform rather than an “anti-opponent” strategy is always better - but in this particular case, I don’t think it’s an “I’m not a Republican” strategy - it’s more of a “I’m not the current uber-partisan, divisive, prejudiced, arrogant, hypocritical and just plain sneaky Rep.”
