Strike (?) Against OMNI Interiors — Happening Now

There are about 20 people on the block of SW Broadway and Washington picketing OMNI Interiors right now with signs that say “OMNI interiors does not pay reasonable wages, etc” (couldn’t get a picture, so I’m paraphrasing).

Anybody know anything more about this?

I believe they’ve been on strike since early Summer. They were just at 2nd and Salmon a couple months ago.

They’re not striking, according to the flyer I received the other week, they’re merely letting people know that OMNI Interiors doesn’t pay union wages.

They’ve been striking since mid-summer at least; I’d pass by them each morning this summer when I was taking my summer class at PSU.

There’s a difference between informational picketing and actual striking. They are doing the former; the latter happens when the people actually working there stop working because of contract issues.

They’ve been out there for the past couple of business days, at least. Since last Wednesday, maybe? I don’t think the guy with the drum showed up today.

I work down the street and hear them pretty clearly.
