Portland Mall Project Open House
There are three ‘Open House’ meetings scheduled in November (the first one is tomorrow), to permit the public to “learn about bus service moving off the Mall in January, construction phases and plans for minimizing impacts, new shelter and streetscape designs, and public art on the Mall.” Unfortunately, each of these Open Houses is scheduled for the middle of the week, and the middle of the day, so I can’t attend any of them. If you can, by all means go to one then report back on what was discussed.
Read on for meeting times and locations:

At least one of these meetings (if not more) should have been planned after 5 pm. The majority of people who’ll be impacted here are the 9-5ers, and attending a 2 hour long hearing during the middle of the day just isn’t feasible for most of them now, is it?
How come they’re not all the same length of time? 11-2 is three hours, 3-5:30 is two and a half, and 11-1 is two hours. If I go to the last one, am I getting shorted an hour of info from the first one?
