You drinking water is now from a well Portland

Just read over on Water Blog that the Portland Water Bureau has decided to shut down the Bull Run water supply and use the Columbia South Shore Well Field groundwater instead. I have never heard of such a thing. According to the entry, due to the immense rain we have received, there are too many particles in the Bull Run water. It’s called an increase in Turbidity. Also, this is only the 7th time since the 80’s this has needed to be done. The well field was built at that time.
So, if you have relatives or friends who came to visit this week because of our stellar Bull Run Water, you are going to have to lie through your teeth when they bottle it to take home. I grew up on well water, so that’s nothing new for me. Do you notice a taste?

I can’t drink Portland water anyhow - it’s all about the big 5 gallon cooler in our kitchen…but it is kinda weird!
