ZooLights: Animal Band

Last night our family went to the ZooLights event at the Oregon Zoo. Running through the end of December, ZooLights is a massive display of Christmas Lights throughout the main portion of the Zoo. Most of the displays are animal-themed, which will hopefully take care of your “zoo” fix, since most of the animals were nowhere to be seen. We had a good time and took in the sights and sounds of the season. For more of the sights, about 20 of my photos can be found in this Flickr set.

The Washington Park & Zoo Railway was operating with a special train fully decked out in holiday lights. Other than the lights, there are carolers, a model railroad display, and an optional buffet on weekends. Hop on MAX, head to the zoo, and check it out.
