Today is one of those days you don’t want this close to Christmas. Its the day you realize you only have so much time left to get everything done and then realize your time is booked with various outings and events. Lastly, today is/was the day you were going to finish everything up.
Then you get paged by work @ 8am.
Upon returning home @ 9am, you discover the kitchen sink drain has failed (1890’s house.)
Then, after your first trip (yes there were more than 1) to Lowes, you realize you need more than just the drain pieces, you need a new basket. Thank you Lowes guy for helping me out.
After getting the basket, you realize you need plumber’s putty.
Oh, and you still need to get all that holiday stuff done you had planned to do this morning………

(PS: oh and with all the changes to the kitchen sink drain, I must have dislodged some 1970’s dirt around the faucet, because it now leaks. We’re going to put that off until next weekend. Woo hooooo!)
