Wasn’t Meant to Be

At least not yet. According to the O – the transformation of a huge mobile home park on NE Killingsworth into condos is not going to happen. And although it would be better for me personally if it did occur – I’m glad for those people that it did not. As I drive by on a pretty regular basis and see the homes there, the people walking in or out of the park to catch the bus, I figure I have it pretty easy compared to them – and this was a Christmas gift that they deserved. We all talk a lot about helping others at this time of year – and at least for the time being these folks have been helped. The neighborhood could still use some cleaning up – but simply getting rid of peoples homes can’t be the answer.

Is this the lot at the intersection of N. Killingsworth/Portland? Interesting. If it is, I’ve always wondered about placing that park so close to a working gravel pit. And if houses were next, who would buy them? Hmmmm.

no it’s a little farther east – just before Killingsworth and Columbia intersect. But on one side it is all by industrial businesses – so definitely wouldn’t attract any real high end buyers!
