Stupid criminal tricks
I love the North Portland forum that the city has setup as part of PortlandOnline. Over the past few years, North Portland has had the luxury of having it’s own place on the web for information gathering and neighborhood involvement. There is both a General and a Community Policing forum. Our neighborhood officer is excellent about keeping the readers up to date on happenings in North, including search warrants and major busts. This morning, I came across this gem:
“Yesterday, the NRT team investigated allegations of crack distribution from room #111 of the Budget Motel on N. Interstate Ave. at N. Wygant St. William Dunn III was arrested for Possession, Manufacture and Distribution of Crack Cocaine. Approximately 7grams of cocaine powder, 6 grams of crack cocaine (off white chunks), $1,300 cash, packaging, a digital scale and paraphernalia were found in the room. William (Bill) admitted to making the cocaine into crack in the microwave in the motel room. Two additional people were arrested who came to the room and knocked while we were inside collecting evidence.
Note to individuals buying drugs at cheap hotels on N. Interstate - (one would think this is obvious) - if a Police car is parked in the lot, you may want to move on to another cheap hotel up the street. Just a thought.
