Westmoreland
My husband sent me a link this afternoon to the Westmoreland Business Alliance website. I didn’t realize they had a website, and since I live nearby I was excited to check it out. Mostly around this area you hear a lot of Sellwood/Westmoreland information or Sellwood exclusively, but not much about Westmoreland. It looks like they are trying to remedy that.
The site contained a video about the Westmoreland neighborhood and it’s businesses. I love that there is a site focused on the businesses and the goings on here. I just wish it had more to it, was a little more helpful, more informative than just, hey come check us out, but maybe it’s a start.
I like the Pearl District site which is full of information, but I would expect that with the neighborhood’s proximity to downtown and all the growth it has experienced in the past years.
Does your neighborhood have a good website?

Ok this is an obvious shill but what the heck - The website I’m working on (publicpress.org) is designed to be your “neighborhood website” for every neighborhood. We feel that local news, culture, and directory services are severely lacking in every which way and could seriously benefit from a nice jolt of community involvement. We hope that people are interested enough in their neighborhoods to be good citizen reporters, whether its business information, news or local events. email me (team at publicpress dot org) if you want to give it a go. Right now Westmoreland is unfortunately not mapped out yet, but its waiting for someone to jump in. We have a lot of other portland content tho (we’re a portland company).
i like my site. just an average transplant turning into a true oregonian! like a drop of rain, i think my site says ‘ a splash of portland and how one human being exists in it ‘

I live in Kenton (North Portland). The neighborhood website is nice but not updated very often: http://www.historickenton.com/
