What’s going on with the old Rose & Raindrop location?

It’s been two and a half months since the Rose & Raindrop on NE Grand closed - they’d lost their lease & closed at the end of last year. At the time, the word was that the landlord had found a tenant to take the spot at triple the current rent. The tenant? A bank with offices in Lake Oswego, according to Tom at Rose & Raindrop late last year (although this report at BarFly says it’s actually US Bank…)

Well - I travel by that spot on a regular basis, and nothing’s been done to the space, from what I can tell. The signs are still up, and the inside looks largely untouched. It’s sad to see the place abandoned - and I’m curious to know what’s really going on there.

If the landlord is theoretically getting triple the rent, well - why isn’t the bank busting their butt to get in and get the space rehabbed? Did the bank (whichever bank it is) ever close the deal to lease the space? Or was it a story designed to ease Rose and Raindrop out of the picture?
