How do you deal with fallen cherry blossoms?

Originally uploaded by russ.

Earlier this month, cherry trees blossomed all over PDX. They are beautiful that way.
But now, they are starting to lose those very blossoms.
And if your parking spot is directly under one of those cherry trees, you have to deal with this stuff all over your hood and windshield.
That’s my car, festooned with fallen cherry blossoms.

Some will blow off due to the force of the breeze you generate when you drive, but the really stubborn stuff sticks.
I know I could smite them with the appropriate implements, but I am going to try something else tomorrow.
The high-powered, automated car wash.
I want to see what happens when the irresistible force (car wash) meets the immovable object (cherry tree detritus)
How do you deal with this stuff?

I deal with the same issue… I go through the car wash about once week. The one on West Burnside at 18th I think is pretty decent. The best IMO however is at SW Barbur and Terwilliger… great wash and .25 per minute(no minimum) for the vac.

“How do you deal with this stuff?”

    How about enjoying it?

I like it. My car was covered with them yesterday, and I thought it look kinda pretty. They all rinsed off in today’s rain.

Now pollen on my car, nearly every day… that’s another story.

    It’s like confetti.

Just think, it could’ve been sap.
