New this morning has it that the Blackberry service has been down since around 5pm last evening. If you have a Crackberry, you probably have not received any email, either from your private account or from your work. See, all the email is routed through the Blackberry service, what we in the tech world call a single point of failure.
So, if you are a die hard Blackberry user, put it in your bag for now, grab a bagel and a cup of coffee and read the newspaper. It will be until mid morning until the service is back up and running. Also, more than likely your work’s IT department knows about this issue. Don’t beat them up with yet another phone call. The email will still be there in a few hours.
