What Do You Like To Do At Lost Lake?

At 3,140 feet above sea level, Lost Lake Resort is situatedon the shores of (no surprise here) Lost Lake, 3,140 feet up the slopes of Mt. Hood.
Plenty to do: easy and not-so-easy-hiking, picnicking, non-motorized boat rental, fishing, and chillin’
There are cabins as well.
We’re day-trippin’, meeting a couple of friends who have a cabin for several days. Lucky them.
This is my first time at Lost Lake Resort: So my questions to you are:
What do you like to do at Lost Lake?
Any Lost Lake activity recommendations for a still somewhat overweight blogger trying to lose the Full Sail beer gut?

I always enjoyed Lost Lake for the hiking and scenery. Personally, I think the fishing is better (or at least was better) over at Olallie Lake.

Have a couple beers, stick your feet in the water and watch the clouds go by is my suggestion.

Just grab a boat and row around that lake all day – the fishing is better at Olallie.

There is a nice trail that goes all the way around the lake – there are one or two ‘less cleared’ areas – but it’s a fairly easy couple of miles – although having a big dog that can pull you up a few inclines doesn’t hurt for a wimp like me!

    No recommendations.

However, I recommend ADDING TO the Full Sail gut. Or, for God’s sake, at least maintain it.
