I’m Looking For A Day Spa: Recommendations, Anyone?

Just before hopping on the Portland Aerial Tram Saturday, we stopped in at OHSU’s March Wellness Center for Health and Healing at Bond and Moody Avenues right by the Sluth Waterfront Portland Streetcar stop.

The first two floors are devoted to March Wellness’ fitness center, health club and spa.

In terms of services and rates, the March Wellness day spa looked ideal. Most “therapeutic body work” treatments are $80. That’d be the following Massages: Customized Therapeutic, Optimum Pefformance Sports, Stress Management (hey, today is Monday), Pain Relief and Pregnancy as well.

I’m tempted to join, but before I put ink to pen I want to hear from you day spa attendees.

Which day spa do you like to go to? Any particular treatments or even individual therapists you recommend? If so, why?

I have had excellent pedicures complete with foot and hand massage, aromatherapy and truly excellent service at the Coldwater Creek Spa at Bridgeport Village. My experience in spas- specifically for pedicures- is extensive, and Coldwater Creek outdoes them all in my opinion. They also do a number of massages, body scrubs and other treatments which I’m looking forward to enjoying over the summer. They’ve put a lot of thought into the facility, and the staff is really nice- not snobby like some places.

Best of luck- I believe we should all try out a day spa once in a while as we can afford it.

Check out http://www.wayspa.com. They seem to find good spas and great prices. Plus, you can book your appointment online.
