Willamette River Water Trail To Be Dedicated This Saturday
Basically a guideway to the Willamette River between Eugene and Portland, the Willamette River Water Trail will be officially dedicated this Saturday.
The official dedication will be 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Willamette Park in Portland. Activities include: speakers, ribbon cutting, paddling, boat demonstrations, river resources, educational displays, and more.
If you are more interested in the activities than the yada yada:
10 a.m.: Registration & displays open
Paddle/ Boat demonstrations & free canoe launches begin
Noon: Dedication Ceremony (Ted, David Wu, bunch of bureaucrats)
Noon - 3 p.m.: Paddles, displays & boat demos
You can bring your own watercraft or reserve a free canoe.
Canoes and gear will be available for 45 minute time slots each hour from 10am until 2pm.
