Farmer's Market, Pix, Le Pigeon, trip to Washington Park, Voodoo Doughnut, Doug Fir, Simpatica for brunch, Portland Timbers game, maybe a day trip over to Hood River via the Vista House and Multnomah Falls.

I take the tram daily, so maybe I'm desensitized, but the views from the Rose Test Gardens are pretty much the same.

Long-time Reader, First-time Commenter.

My girlfriend and I are fairly new to Portland, and one day this Spring we found ourselves on the Springwater Corridor and we couldn't help but wander around Oaks Amusement Park. What a great place!

With a roller skating rink!

And some really great views of the river and Downtown via the tiny ferris wheel.

I'd do the tram. Also a stroll up Hawthorne. Mt. Tabor Park. Washington Park. A meander through The Pearl and Northwest Portland, maybe on the streetcar. Jimmy Maks for jazz. Lunch at Piazza Italia. Those are some of the many things I like to do in Portland. Oh, and if it's hot, I love that crazy speedboat ride that takes off from OMSI.

B!X & Himself: One of the Jazz Clubs (Jazz De Opus) my Uncle went to is now a strip club, maybe he'd like to revisit that local...

David: Two trails I like are both local to my neighborhood, I am sure there are better ones but I like Springwater Corridor and Oaks Bottom Wildlife Refuge. Hoyt Arboretum is another great place that I haven't been in years but I plan to go this summer.

You should check out: http://www.portlandonline.com/parks/finder/ if you are new to Portland. It can help you find some good green spaces.

Rusty & Dave: The Tram is a great idea and since it's newish I haven't been there, and the hike would be nice to round it out, I may be e-mailing you shortly. Thanks!!
