Do You Hear The Ships? Do You See The Ships?

From my vantage point on a cliff overlooking NW 23rd I’ve been hearing the ships coming in all day to the Portland Seawall at WaMu Waterfront Village. Rose Festival Fleet.

I know they started arriving yesterday, but I do know more have been expected today.

Lots of horns from the ships. Leisure craft have to get out of the way. As for our older bridges- Steel, Morrison, Broadway- they need to be raised. Hey that’s why the Fremont is so high. Never, ever has to be raised. Couldn’t be if they wanted to.

Do you, or have you, heard the ships today? Or even better yet, caught a glimpse?

yeah, it was pretty cool to see the Canucks come to town yesterday even though they delayed my trip to the wine shop on MAX. What gives a Canadian the right to delay me I ask you!

Oh, and I love seeing them parallel park those suckers.

Yeah, we have a great view (US Bank tower); love seeing the fire boat spouting plumes of colored water.

Does anyone know if there is any sort of schedule (other than “between 6 and 11am”) for the departures on Monday morning?
