Wow, Oregon sports are (again) huge this week.

The obvious story, of course, is the return of Oregon State to the College World Series, which surprised me given the losses they suffered from last year’s roster. Even though I’m an admitted Duck homer, the whole state (including the many Beaver alums here in Portland) is again rallying for a OSU victory.

The Ducks, of course, aren’t just chopped liver. However, in a reaffirmation of their apparent stress of style over substance, Oregon’s splash on the sports media scene this week is on the Sports Illustrated website, where Oregon boasts Dayle Wacaser, the Cheerleader of the Week (and, I swear to you, I just stumbled on this…).
