For the national election, it is healthcare. For Portland, infrastructure and keeping our economy healthy would be the subjects I think are most important. Let's get those living wages up as high as the property costs.

One thing that I can't take anymore of is reading about (in WW) how attractive Sam (Glam) Adams is. Please give it a rest. More substance on the issues, less fluff about that PLEASE!

How about ALL of the above plus some?
Sustainability is the biggest issue for me. Policies that support and promote triple-bottom-line sustainability will give us green infrastructure, an innovative and prosperous economy, equitable access to social services like health care, and reduce the causes of crime. Sustainability is also our best chance of addressing a much larger issue that is woefully missing from McLaughlin's list, the issue on which all these other interrelated issues depend: the health and productivity of the environment and threats of global climate change.

Don't let the media fool you.

I agree with Infrastructure because it is the one item that can be linked to every issue, but sometimes I worry that we get so wrapped up in the infrastructure we can't see what we are working so hard to make right.
