dieselboi – that’s a very cool option! Good on Matador! We picked up new vinyl at the Woggles last week, but I don’t think we’ve even had a chance to open it yet. I’ll have to see if they’re doing that too.

Chris,
I don’t actually transfer from vinyl to MP3. We only recently got a record player, so our collection of vinyl is small and mostly from the $1 bin. I know there are some options out there but I haven’t investigated.

One thing cool is that Matador records, who released The Cave Singers album had a slip of paper inside that had a code that allowed you to download the album in MP3 format. I plan on buying more albums if that is offered.

Nice find on the Cave Singers. I’d say the lead singer sounds more like the love child of bob dylan and tom petty – as opposed to jan joplin.

Perhaps he sounds a bit different live.
