Earlier this week, we got a story suggestion asking us if we wanted to check out a new band from Denmark named Powersolo. As you know, I don’t pass up the opportunity to check out new music and I absolutely love the Doug Fir. So, a rock band from Denmark. Well, I checked out their Myspace page and they sound pretty cool. Part Rockabilly, part psychedelic, part trash. I’m no reviewer, so take that with a grain of salt. This is why I love live music so much. An indie band from Denmark coming to Portland. Hopefully they’ll be able to check it out a little. I’ll post a recap after the show on Friday. If you are interested, the Doug Fir is nonsmoking and has great sound. Show starts @ 9pm.

As an added bonus, they are opening for and acting as the backing band for Heavy Trash, featuring John Spencer from Blues Explosion.
