If the van’s a-rockin’

Portland, you make me randy, yeah baby yeah! Well, at least that’s what Forbes.com has discovered in its “America’s Most Lustful Cities” rankings. Portland is tied for second with San Antonio.

The article claims that residents of the top cities “enjoy vigorous sex lives” based entirely on the purchases of contraceptives at grocery and drug stores.

Really? That’s all they used? Guys, it’s time to toss out those 5-year old Trojans and buy a new pack. Ladies, go to your doctor and ask for a 10-year supply of birth control pills. Together, we can aim for #1 next year!

Another interesting fact mentioned in the article is Portland’s affinity for Seattle-based Toys in Babeland’s Web site. (cough cough) “From Jan. 1 through Nov. 30, 2007, New Yorkers frequented the site more than residents of any other city, comprising 22% of its total traffic. Seattle, the third most lustful city on our list, was second to New York, making up 9% of the site’s visitors. Portland, Ore., and Washington, D.C., were two other cities in our top 10 that also contributed a significant portion of Babeland’s online traffic.”
