What political leadership do you speak of? As police chief during a time where violence in Portland escalated? Or when he thought jay-walking was the begining to the end of civilised society and had hoped to really crack down on the jaywalkers? Which one? I'm curious... or do you have some treasure trove of wonderful moments that Potter exampled his "political leadership" that I am unaware of? just curious yo. Portland it seems, voted for the dolt lame duck Potter based on his homey-ness and low campaign contributions hoping he would be Bud Clark the second or some such thing. Now granted, his opposition was not exactly a shining knight... yet he (if only a one-termer) would have had far better impact with leadership, policy, and accomplishment than this "irrelevant" as Smashing put it in quoting the mayor, joke of a leader.
