Curry, Richardson with ‘flu-like’ symptoms?

Maybe I’m just too cynical. Or maybe, just maybe Zach Randolph did the Blazers a favor last night.

Consider these tidbits:

From an email from a friend last night who works nights downtown:

Side note on the Blazer game. Zach Randolph had a pregame party at the Greek last night. They had quadruple security at the door, and it was interesting to watch all these rich guys in brand new pickup trucks circling the block at midnight, looking for parking.

From Jason Quick’s game recap in today’s Oregonian:

Knicks starters Eddy Curry and Quentin Richardson did not play (flu-like symptoms)

Funny – that’s what I used to tell my boss back in the day after a night on the town…!

(Yeah, I know the flu is going around. Yes, I realize that Curry and Randolph aren’t exactly best buds. Like I said – I’m cynical. And grateful that Randolph is a Knick, and no longer a Blazer…!)

Yeah the flu like symptoms excuse is the oldest one in the book. I agree with you, he probably tied one on that night between the blow and the hooch. I don’t know how those guys survive all that money.

It was vindicating to see the nice guy’s who work hard and keep their noses clean finish first. Hat’s off to the Portland Trailblazer team!

this theory is pretty tempting, but quentin sat out most of the previous game with flu-like symptoms as well. man, you’d think two days of rest and nba doctors would take care of the flu.

zach didn’t show up to the game until an hour before tip-off. under any coach but isaiah, he’d be benched for the game. but as a knick you actually earn more minutes for irresponsibility.
